Author Cindy Pitta was born and raised in northern California. She spent most of her childhood in the pool swimming, by the time she was a young adult she was out of the pool and on the pool deck coaching. Cindy now lives in Alaska with her 3 setters, and you can still find her coaching. In her spare time she enjoys showing her dogs and spending time with family and friends.
Illustrator Beverly Doyle is a Wildlife Artist dedicated to the preservation of all animal species and their habitats. She grew up on an old New England farm in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts where she learned the value of all life and the need to care for it. She discovered her artistic talent at a very early age, and earned a Major in Fine Arts with a Minor in Biology at Framingham State College in Framingham, Mass. She continued her studies in California the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She currently lives in Vermont with her husband, two cats and a horse.
